Carolyn Konig lives on a small parcel of land outside Wodonga, Victoria with her husband Wolfgang. She has two daughters Chelsey and Melitta. Chelsey and her husband Cameron have three young boys. Ryley (11), Nixon (9) and Mason (6).
Quilting consumed her life from a very young age and has taken her places far and wide from the Vic Quilters Showcase in Melbourne to the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas.
Eating, sleeping and breathing quilting has turned into something more time consuming in "Carolyn's Quilting Room". Her hobby has now become a business and a life-long dream. The business is predominately Longarm Machine Quilting for which she has won many awards. She has expanded into selling kits, fabric and patterns using the catchy label "Green Frogs Black Dogs Designs". More recently her work has been published in magazines such as "Australian Patchwork and Quilting" and "Quilters Companion". Her many hobbies include patchwork, quilting, appliqué, cross-stitch and her latest needle punch work.
Carolyn's Quilting Room is not necessarily a room but a state of mind and travels with her on her quilting journey.
"What I know about quilting could fill a book, what I would like to know would fill a library" - Carolyn Konig.
